Medewi Beach is
one of the premiere surf spots in Bali. Medewi Beach is located just a few
minutes from West Bali National Park, a stay in Medewi
allows you access to the best surf and the best wildlife in
Bali. Some of the animals you might see are black monkeys,
barking deer, wild pig, iguana, python and green snake,
along with 300 species of birds. You can take an organized
trek through the park with a trained guide who can point out
some of the many wonders of the tropical rain forest.
As for surf,
Medewi Beach has one of the longest left-handed waves, which is
best to catch before the wind picks up around mid-morning.
The Medewi Beach looks out on the Bali Strait, and it is said that
the strait was created by a mythical king who used only one
finger to gouge out the land, allowing the sea to rush in.
