Nusa
Dua is a resort area south of Bali International Airport. Here you can find
some of the most spectacular beaches in Bali, and a clean,
safe, tranquil environment. There is also a luxurious
shopping center called The Galleria Nusa Dua which offers a range of
items at fixed rate prices. Both the Galleria and the hotels
that line the beach boast a variety of fine restaurants
serving gourmet blends of East and West.
Further
to the south frim Nusa Dua is Uluwatu Temple, perched above the sea on the
high stone cliffs. Bring your camera, because this temple
complex has a spectacular view, particularly at sunrise and
sunset. You need to wear a traditional sarong and sash if
you want to enter, and the temple staff will rent them to
you for a nominal fee.
Uluwatu
is one of Bali's most popular surf spots, and the locals
should be able to point you to the road that leads down to
beach. Wear sandals when you swim, because the coral can be
sharp.
