Ubud
has long been recognized as the cultural heart of Bali. Ubud is home to innumerable artists, galleries and shops that
deal in the finest handicrafts and fine art creations to be
found on the island.

an appreciation of Balinese artistic traditions by visiting
the Museum Puri Lukisan. While Ubud has less in the way of night
life than Kuta, most people appreciate the relaxed atmosphere
that has inspired generations of both local and foreign artists.
Along Jl. Raya Ubud main street, you will find a number of
excellent restaurants offering everything from Italian to inexpensive
Indonesian Padang food. A large temple is also located in the
center of town and twice a year there are large anniversary
celebrations resplendent with dance and ritual.
